Stainless Steel Vegetable Steamer Review #sunsellaveggiesteamer

I was so excited to be able to review this Sunsella Stainless Steel Vegetable Steamer because my current steamer is about 10 years old, so I'm ready for a new one! It came in this nice, perfect sized box.

It was nicely packaged inside the bubble wrap, so it arrived intact and undamaged.

You can really tell that this vegetable steamer is new, because it's so shiny!

It is very easy to open too, you just place fingers in center circle and gently pull outwards. To close, place fingers under outside edge of steamer and collapse to the center. This is a premium quality vegetable steamer made from 100% high-grade stainless steel (including legs). It has a unique design which expands to fit various pot sizes. It's also collapsable for space saving storage. There is no assembly required, which is great for me because I'm not very handy. The legs and center post are already attached for a stable, durable, veggie steamer. You can easily remove it from pan with sturdy central ring. It takes up less space than bamboo steamers. The Diameter is 5.3" to 9.25" - Height range (legs included) 2" to 3.35"

After I received my steamer, I washed it first. I washed it by hand for the first time, but after I used it, I washed it in the dishwasher, since it's dishwasher safe. As you can see, the steamer fits in my pan perfectly! I was so happy about that, because my old steamers don't fit perfectly and leave a gap, which makes it easy for the vegetables to fall into the water, rather than stay on the steamer. That didn't happen with this Sunsella vegetable steamer.

I filled the water just to the base of the steamer, and then filled it with cut up carrots and celery. I covered it, and after the water boiled, steamed the vegetables for 10 minutes. A steamer is great to use because the vegetables cook fast and it helps keep the nutrients inside the vegetables, so it makes for healthier eating. It was very easy to remove the steamer and the vegetables. I dumped out the water, returned the vegetables to the pan, and added a little margarine and dill.

The vegetables were cooked just right and tasted delicious. I will definitely continue using my Sunsella Vegetable Steamer for many years to come. Sunsella also recommends adding "seasoning, garlic, ginger, fresh herbs, butter or olive oil for extra tasty veggies and try adding a slice of lemon to the cooking water. Use stock instead of water for infusing even more flavors into your veggies." I think next time I will have to try some of those tips.
